QR Codes for Real Estate

There are many ways Restaurants & Cafes can use QR codes to increase traffic and connect with new and existing customers.   How the QR Codes are implemented into your marketing strategies would be dependant on the image & reputation of your restaurant and/or café.  QRCodesQLD are aware of the important key elements of the implementation of QR codes to maximise full potential of this fabulous marketing platform.  We have researched extensively how restaurants and cafes are using QR codes and have created the following list of suggested uses of QR Codes.

  • TAKE-AWAY MENUS: QR Code printed on table tents, front door posters or anywhere it’s appropriate. Customers scan the code and are redirected to a digital version of your menu.

  • OR a large poster placed in your restaurant saying, "Want our take away menu? Scan this with your phone and take it out with you." Create a mobile-optimized takeaway out menu that someone can easily scan on their phone.

  • TABLE STANDS: While the menu usually goes with the wait staff upon taking an order, many restaurants have table roll stands with appetisers, drinks and desserts on the table. Use a QR code on your table stands to link to these items as an added effort for an impulse buy, whether it be a creative video, pictures, positive customer comments or additional information.

  • OR Direct people to a mobile website where they can enter their email address or mobile phone to opt-in for “news alerts” or loyalty programs from the restaurant. Put a QR code on the table or on created signage that links to all kinds of things such as your Facebook, Twitter, website, videos, etc.  Perhaps you could use the QR code in a way for multiple guests to interact such as trivia, games, etc.

  • RECIPES: Put a small QR Code on your menu next to different dishes. Smartphone users can then scan the code and be taken to the recipe. An alternative is where the user could be taken to a video of your chef preparing the dish.

  • PROMOTIONS: Place QR Codes within your ads, direct mail or anywhere you can imagine and link the code to a promotion. Ask about our Sunshine Coast Promotions.

  • LOYALTY PROGRAMS: QR codes can contain a ready-to-send text message. Scan the QR code and it populates a text message. Combine this with a text messaging platform and you can have your own text messaging loyalty rewards program

  • EVENTS: Do you have an event coming up you want to promote? Place a QR Code on your printed material i.e: Title, date, time, location, and description. Someone can scan this and easily add the event to the calendar on their phone.

  • ADVERTISING: Print QR Codes on flyers that connect people to a mobile website where they can read reviews about the restaurant. When buying advertising space - give prospective customers more information and incentives to stop in with a QR code that links to information about your restaurant, current specials, top picks and more.

  • FACEBOOK:  linking the code to your Facebook Fan Page and get more followers! To entice them, offer a discount or promotion for clicking the ‘Like Us’ button.

  • NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION: Place a QR Code on your menu or on a table tent that links to your nutritional information summary. You could also do individual codes for each menu item.

  • INTERVIEWS: Link to a video of an interview with important characters within your company. This might be a CEO, Executive Chef, Chief Marketing Officer, or even the employee of the month.

  • SPECIALS: Does your restaurant frequently have specials? Link a code to a virtual ‘Daily Special’ chalk board

  • RESTAURANT INFO: Link to basic information about your restaurant: address, phone number or perhaps even the restaurant’s history.

  • SURVEYS: Put a QR Code on your receipts and get instant feedback on your customer’s dining experience.

  • FRONT DOOR or HOST/HOSTESS AREA: When people scan your QR Code displayed on your front door or window, they’ll be directed to a mobile website that provides business hours, contact information, a menu, and a map. Many times, especially during peak hours, customers will have to wait to be seated. Put a QR code in the area with a link your menu to peruse.

  • COASTERS: Put a QR code on your coasters that link to drink-related information such as specials or a video of the bartender making a drink to shows off their skills.

  • BATHROOMS: Place a QR code on the side of the door that exits the bathroom that links to appetisers and desserts to get them thinking.

  • TAKE AWAY CUPS & PACKAGING: You always want your customers to be thinking of you and when they will come back next. Put a QR code on your packaging that links to a special “thank you for visiting” message, or even a special offer for them to print off and bring in for their next visit.
